Adjustable Block Plane w/ Lignum Vitae Sole (ECE)

The 649 P Pocket Plane has E.C.E’s exclusive adjustable depth control to set the iron for precision cuts. This handsome, lightweight smoothing plane is easy to tote in a pocket for small planing jobs. It also does well at trimming end grain.

This is a tool that you will reach for without a second thought. Block planes are just not something we normally think as being made out of wood. However, by taking the elegance of wood, a modern adjuster mechanism and shrinking the size, this plane simply becomes a part of your hand and allows for planing of small parts and on end grain. A great block plane is a most important tool to have handy in the shop and this plane has always been one of the most popular ECE tools around.
