SENKICHI Kikai shakuri Kanna / machine plow plane (FUJIWARASANGYO)

The word kikai means “machine”. While this is not a strictly accurate description of these planes, it reflects the Japanese attitude that if a tool uses, or is made with nuts and bolts, it is automatically clasified as a machine.

This plane is used to make very narrow grooves, 5mm in this case.
